Open House in Obenaus, Aug. 2014

• take part in the farm’s life and work in the permaculture garden, cook, maintain the buildings, chop wood, work in the forest, herd the sheep …
• family and all groups are welcome for a special holiday in learning village style.

You will enjoy the summer landscape around here, the green hills and vineyards, taste the famous South-Styria wines in the many “Buschenschank” places directly from the producers. A few highlights are around, like the Motorikpark in Gamlitz where children of all ages move and stretch. Take a bath in a lake.

And any combination of those…

Accommodation is possible at the farm itself if you bring your own camping gear. This very basic stay is included in the basic contribution. Then there are B&B opportunities and holiday apartments in walking distance. And there is the **** Loisium Hotel with modern rooms and Spa just 20 minutes walking distance from the farm.

Financial contributions: A day at the Open House month = 25€ per person, that includes meals and staying on our ground with a tent. Workshops = a specific contribution may be asked by the hosts of the workshop. Trips etc. are self-organised on a shared cost basis. Stay a week = 150€, two weeks = 275€ per person.

How can you offer your workshop(s)?

You can anytime offer an activity or invitation to all others here at the place and just do it!

Write an invitation, set a contribution you want participants to share with you, and offer a date when you’re here. We might discuss the details with you to arrange it well within the emerging programme of the month. The contribution from the participants will share 80% for you, the rest goes to the farm. If you want to be less dependent on euros, you can offer an exchange with learning as a currency – see www.learner-x.com.

We’ll present your workshop in all of our networks together with the Open House month invitation. People from the region may come specifically for your workshop. Please have in mind that we offer very basic conditions: a half open barn, open sky grass, wood and field places, and if it’s too fresh or rainy, a dry and spacious attic. Chairs and tables are here, though :-)

Wir bieten herzliche Aufnahme und freundliche Gesellschaft. An einigen Tagen öffnen wir unsere Scheune für Treffen, kurze Trainings und Workshops.

Das Programm erweitert sich ständig, denn viele Teilnehmer bieten selbst etwas an: Etwa das Bauen einer Schwitzhütte und dann das gemeinsame Schwitzen in der Art der Indianer. Andere organisieren kurze Ausflüge in der Gegend oder eine Maßnahme in Permakultur in unserem Garten, und wieder andere genießen einfach ein Glas Wein in der Abendsonne.

Sie können:

• Für einen Tag kommen, oder einige Wochen
• Ihre eigenen Fähigkeiten teilen und eine Aktivität anbieten für andere
• An Workshops teilnehmen
• Am Hofleben teilnehmen, in unserem Permakultur Garten arbeiten, kochen, die Gebäude gestalten, Holz hacken, im Wald arbeiten, die Schafe hüten …
• Die Sommerlandschaft der Südsteiermark genießen mit ihren Hügeln und Weingärten, ausgehen in die vielen Buschenschänke rundum und Weine direkt beim Hersteller verkosten
• Mit den Kindern aller Altersstufen im Motorikpark in Gamlitz herumtollen und ein Bad im See nehmen
• Und alle Kombinationen davon …

Beitrag: Ein Tag im Open House mit Teilnahme am Hofleben und Essen beträgt 25€ pro Person. Für manche Workshops werden weitere Beiträge erbeten (siehe Rückseite). Für eine ganze Woche liegt der Beitrag bei 150€, zwei Wochen 275€.

Bieten Sie Ihren eigenen Workshop an!

Viele Menschen bersten vor Wissen, Können und Fähigkeiten. Teilen Sie sie. Sie können jederzeit bei uns eine Aktivität anbieten und andere hier auf dem Hof dazu einladen. Legen Sie einfach los. Bitte berücksichtigen Sie, dass wir nur sehr einfache Verhältnisse anbieten: eine halboffene Scheune, Wiesen unter offenem Himmel, Wald- und Bachplätze, und sofern es kühl oder regnerisch wird, einen trockenen großen Dachspeicher. Stühle und Tische haben wir auch.

Der Teilnehmerbeitrag schließt die Teilnahme an einem der “Open Space” Tage zu Wandel, Leadership und Organisation ein, die am 20.8. und am 23.8. in Obenaus stattfinden.
